Companies will be able to pay some taxes online as of next year, and the fiscal agency ANAF is to implement the measure by June 30, 2008, agency president Daniel Chitoiu said Thursday.

At the same time, in the first quarter of 2008, ANAF is to expand the online fiscal statement submission system countrywide, Chitoiu told a news conference.
Currently, only companies registered in Bucharest or Ilfov county and large taxpayers can submit online fiscal statements.
To submit online fiscal statements, companies must request a digital identification certificate of their legal representative, which is issued for free by the Ministry of Finance.
