Călin Georgescu refuses to say if he supports Simion or Gavrilă

Călin Georgescu signed the judicial control at the IPJ Ilfov headquarters.

When he arrived, Georgescu was asked by journalists how much money he took from Horațiu Potra, but did not answer.

Also, because he was expected to announce his support for George Simion or Anamaria Gavrilă, Călin Georgescu did not give any answer when asked about it.

On leaving the IPJ Ilfov, Georgescu greeted a supporter, then got into his car and drove away without saying anything.

The Constitutional Court rejected Călin Georgescu’s candidacy in the May 2025 elections, after Georgescu won the first round in November 2024, but those elections were annulled.

Călin Georgescu is under judicial control after he was picked up in traffic and taken with a warrant to the Prosecutor General’s Office. He is a defendant in a case that concerns, among other things, instigating actions against the constitutional order, as well as promoting, in public, fascist, legionary or racist ideas, concepts or doctrines.
