Romanian Govt Decides Health Ministry Will Coordinate Health Insurance House

The ministry will have to approve the draft income and expenses budget, and bills drafted by the House, as well as its work plan and statute, said Health Minister Ladislau Ritli. Quarterly or yearly, the House will send the ministry reports on its activity and the ministry will be able to control drug procurement auctions.

Ritli replaced Attila Cseke as Health Minister in August, when the latter resigned after the budget revision did not provide the funds he requested. Cseke had also suggested several times that the Health Insurance House should be placed under the ministry’s authority.
