“The debts of health system units to Association members total over EUR85 million,” the AFPM said on Tuesday.

A delegation on behalf of the AFPM took part in a series of meetings with Health Ministry and National Health Insurance House, along with members of the Presidency’s Public Health Department.

“Despite the suppliers’ sympathy for the problems of the Romanian health system, unless there is an immediate reaction by decision makers to our signal, Association members will stop deliveries to hospitals. A freezing on the market can create imbalances and lead to serious repercussions on the long-term. We therefore hope in a quick resolution of these differences,” the cited source said.

AFPM pointed out that members of the management council have decided to stop deliveries to Bucharest’s Colentina hospital and county emergency hospitals in the cities of Craiova, Targu Mures, Timisoara, Iasi and Botosani.
