Romanian Football Fans Act Up On EasyJet Flight

According to the quoted source, the ten individuals, who were London-bound in a pilgrimage towards the Arsenal-Steaua game, started to make trouble with the other passengers and the flight staff, after drinking alcohol. When the plane landed on the London airport, the rowdy bunch was questioned by British police, and three members of the mob were arrested. The EasyJet representative said that the pilots and the flight staff acted in accordance with standard security procedures.

The head of the Romanian Consulate in London, Mihai Delcea, told MEDIAFAX that Romanian authorities in the British capital took notice regarding the incidents created Monday by the group.

Delcea refused to offer details about this case, saying only that the Consulate was not contacted by the Steaua supporters’ organization nor by any of the individuals involved in the row. He added that the Consulate received information in this matter, through other channels.
