The festival is organized under the guidance of the world’s most famous salsa promoter, Albert Torres, and encompasses dance lessons by famous instructors, beach parties and live music.
The best salsa pairs in Romania will compete in the festival, and the winners will represent the country in the World Salsa Championship in the United States, according to the organizers, Afrolatin Productions, sole representative for Romania of the World Salsa Championship.
The winners will be announced on Friday, August 8, in a festivity to take place in the square in front of the Mamaia casino.
Dancers from America, Spain and Bulgaria will perform on the stage, including Albert Torres and Edwin Rivera, the most famous eastern European salsa group Los Pambos, Spain’s cabaret salsa champions Pablo and Diana, and Cuban dancer and choreographer Papa Rumba, who promotes Cuban music, culture and traditional dance.
Each evening of the festival will end with a party to last until dawn, entertained by salsa DJ Udia from Dubai.
