The Cantacuzino Research and Development Institute will produce a lot of about five million doses of vaccine against the AH1N1 virus by the end of the year, and will produce one million monthly in 2010.
The Committee for Coordination and Action within the Health Ministry identified on Wednesday the categories of people that present the highest risk of getting the AH1N1 virus. According to the Health Ministry, doctors, school children and pregnant women are among the first to be vaccinated.
The committee also decided to set up new procedures to monitor and prevent AH1N1 cases in the school system.
The procedures will be finalized on Thursday and will be approved by order of the health minister.
In Romania, the total number of patients diagnosed with the AH1N1 virus reached 316, according to the latest data of the Health Ministry.
