Veterans of the 1989 anticommunist revolution called on the Government not to cut their state revolutionary allowances.
They were invited for talks by the Government’s secretariat for revolutionaries’ issues.
The prime minister said Friday allowances for revolutionaries need to be distributed depending on government resources and should go primarily to people injured in the Revolution and families of people killed in the Revolution. He said the government needs an annual EUR9 million to pay revolutionary allowances.
