Tourism minister Elena Udrea said the measure is meant to encourage entertainment activities in tourist resorts, but at the same time respect legal conditions on noise limits.

The decision also stipulates that owners of tourism establishments no longer have to renew their classification certificates every three years. The classification certificate can be withdrawn in case a Ministry control finds the classification’s criteria and conditions are no longer being met.

The act also says tourism unit owners are obliged to stay open for the entire duration of the holiday season, which, according to law, begins on May 1 and ends on September 30.
