CFR Calatori last increased tariffs by 8.1% in September 2007.

Romanian state-run subway company Metrorex also raised tariffs by 8% starting September 18.

The Romanian Government promised the International Monetary Fund it would raise the tariffs of the ten largest loss-making state-run companies, including CFR Calatori, freight carrier CFR Marfa, electricity producer Termoelectrica and Metrorex.
