Boc said the Government is putting the finishing touches on a strategy concerning heating subsidies, to be implemented as of April 2011. The strategy will modernize the large thermal power plants and eliminate the general subsidy provided in the centralized heating system.

Last week, the prime minister announced the state would continue to subsidize heating, but that a new strategy would be applied as of next year.
