Romanian Leu’s Exch Rate Hits New High At 4.126 Vs Euro
The leu also continued a seven-day rally against the US dollar and touched a fresh 14-month high at 2.9049 units.
The leu opened flat at 4.127/4.128 per euro and traded below 4.13 per euro in the first part of the session.
At around GMT1100, the leu traded at 4.126/4.127 to the euro, after hitting an early high at 4.124 to the euro.
Elsewhere in the region, the Hungary’s forint was up 0.3% against the European common currency, while the Polish zloty was losing 0.1%.
On the money market, overnight rates were slightly down at 2.2%-2.7% a year.
