Cesar Award For “Best Foreign Film” Goes To “Viata Celorlalti”
Cristian Mungiu’s "4 months, 3 weeks and 2 days" lost the award for the “best foreign film category” of the 33rd edition of the Cesar Awards to Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck’s “Viata celorlalti.”

Mungiu’s “4,3,2” was nominated at this category alongside with Fatih Akin’s "Auf der anderen seite" ("The Edge of Heaven"), James Gray’s "We own the night", David Cronenberg’s "Eastern Promises" and Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck’s "Viaţa altora."
Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck’s “Viata celorlalti” won last year 47 awards, amongst which the Oscar for “best foreign film,” the BAFTA award and the award of the European Film Academy and was nominated for other 24 awards.
Last year, the award at this category went to film "Fiecare se crede normal/ Little Miss Sunshine" directed by Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris.
