Tariceanu called for a working meeting Sunday at the government’s headquarters with the ministers of interior, foreign affairs, labor and justice to outline a plan of action to help Romanian citizens in Italy.
The meeting took place after the ministers of interior, labor and justice discussed a set of measures to help Romanians who risk deportation from Italy, such as legal assistance, social inclusion, voluntary repatriation and public communication between institutions.
These measures are also to be discussed with Italian authorities as soon as possible.
President Basescu also called a meeting Sunday with the prime minister and ministers involved, official sources told MEDIAFAX.
