Romanian President Comments On Tourism Sector

The President said there is no actual competition between the Romanian seaside and Bulgaria’s, as they are complementary, adding the privatization policy in the country’s tourism sector was not at all good.

Basescu stressed hotel owners should think of promotional offers for different categories of tourists, adding he would create, if he were hotel owner, the best conditions to lure as many pensioners as possible.

Basescu Thursday attended the opening of the summer season and the Mangalia Tourist Seaport and will spend the next three days on the shores of the Black Sea.

Basescu and his wife will be staying at the protocol villa in Neptun seaside resort until Sunday, May 4.
