Most Banks Closed On Romanian National Day

Most Romanian banking units will be closed Saturday, December 1, with the exception of offices found in commercial centers or hypermarkets, several credit institutions announced Thursday.

The working hours of agencies and branches found in malls or hypermarkets will be similar to that of the commercial centers where they are located.
Contacted by MEDIAFAX, representatives of Banca Comerciala Româna (BCR),  BRD – Groupe Societe Generale, Raiffeisen Bank, UniCredit and Banca Transilvania announced that their credit institutions will not be open on the Romanian National Day.
Bancpost and Alpha Bank are not open on any Saturday, with the exception of units found in commercial centers and hypermarkets.
The banks mentioned are the top ranking ones as far as the number of units held is concerned.
The widest territorial network belongs to Romanian savings institution CEC, but at the time when this story was published, the institution had not yet set its schedule for Saturday.
