Romanian Securities Commission CNVM suspended Thursday by emergency ordinance the public offers developed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange between December 24 and January 2, 2009, with the possibility of being subsequently extended.

BVB Council had decided December 4 the last trading day in 2008 is December 23, and the market to be closed on December 24, 25, 26, 29, 30 and 31. January 1 and 2 are days off on being legal holidays.
 
The Bourse is compelled to take all necessary measures to enforce the ordinance.
 
BVB management settled the trading schedule during winter holidays following consultations with brokerage companies.
