Bucharest Stock Exchange general manager Stere Farmache informed Wednesday the bourse's Council on his intention to resign due to an offer received from the private sector, but will remain the bourse’s president.

"Mr. Farmache said the reason for his resignation was a tempting offer received from the private sector a few months ago. Farmache said he would accept the offer and will resign from the position of Bucharest Stock Exchange general manager, but will remain the Council’s president," Petru Prunea, SSIF Broker president stated Thursday.
