Citizen Safety Has Become A Govt Priority – Romanian PM

Romanian prime minister Emil Boc said Sunday, referring to the armed robberies in Romanian cities Cluj and Brasov, that the safety of citizens has become a top level priority for the government.

Boc said a mixed team from ministries will establish, next week, a series of measures to strengthen public safety.

Referring to the armed robberies in Brasov and Cluj, Boc said these are “isolated incidents, which do not represent a general phenomenon."

Boc added Romania will not “fall behind” when it comes to the safety of citizens and he will see to it that the legislation allows law enforcers to do their jobs.
