E.ON Donates EUR500,000 To Flood-Affected People

Gas distributor E.ON Gaz Romania assigned EUR500,000 to the people affected by the floods in the counties of Suceava and Botosani, northeastern Romania, the head of the company’s board of directors, Frank Hajdinjak, told a news conference Wednesday.

The company donated the money for the reconstruction of schools, kindergartens, and local hospitals in the counties of Suceava and Botosani.

The employees of the company started a campaign to raise funds for the people affected by floods, and each sum given by the employees will be doubled by the company.

At the end of the donation campaign, E.ON will also get involved in the coordination of the works done to improve the schools and the healthcare units in the two counties.

The company donated EUR40,000 in a recent telethon to help the people affected by the floods.
