Romanian news agency Mediafax Saturday evening awarded the Best Romanian Short Film Prize to ‘Colivia’ by film director Adrian Sitaru at the Transylvanian International Film Festival (TIFF).

‘Colivia’ By Romanian Adrian Sitaru Wins TIFF Best Romanian Short Film Prize Awarded By Mediafax

The short film features two well-known Romanian actors, Clara Voda and Adrian Titieni.

Adrian Sitaru is a film director, producer, screenwriter and actor. One of his short films, 'Valuri', was awarded the Golden Leopard in the "Leopards of Tomorrow" section at the 60th edition of the International Film Festival in Locarno in the summer of 2007. 'Hooked' won two awards at the 2008 Thessaloniki International Film Festival, the jury award at the second edition of the 2008 Estoril Film Festival and the New Voices section at the Palm Spring International Film Festival.

Mediafax awarded the Best Romanian Short Film prize for the second year in a row. The jury was made up of Croatian director Goran Odvorcic, Bulgarian director Sevda Kozareva and Romanian director and screenwriter Stanca Radu, last year's award recipient.

The Transylvanian International Film Festival takes place between May 28 and June 6 in Cluj-Napoca, northwestern Romania.
