Romanian Competition Auth Looks Into Curiero Takeover By RTC Holding

The Competition Law stipulates checkups must be conducted and the Competition Council must be notified with respect to takeovers exceeding the value thresholds stipulated by law, namely, if the cumulated turnover of economic operators engaged in a takeover operation exceeds the equivalent in lei of EUR10 million and there are at least two economic operators engaged in the process which equally obtain, on Romania’s territory, a turnover higher that the equivalent in lei of EUR4 million, a press release read.

RTC Holding, which owns logistics company TCE Logistica, is leader on the stationery, book, shipping and courier market, as well as one of the largest distribution and retail groups in Romania.

Curiero and TCE Logistica operate postal services and freight transport market.
