The leu opened at RON3.9710/RON3.9760 against the euro, similar with Wednesday’s closing value, and hit an early low at RON 4.0005 against the euro.

Then, at around GMT 0815, the leu was trading at RON3.9825/RON3.9900 to the euro, dealers said.

On the money market Monday, overnight interest rates were at 14-17% on the year.
