Marko Bela recalled UDMR’s contribution to Romania’s euro-atlantic integration and added the Union cannot accept the underling position in the new Cabinet.

The UDMR leader expressed regret that the social democrats – who refused to accept UDMR in Government – managed to impose their views.

The leader of the Romanian democrat liberals, Emil Boc, announced Saturday evening, after a new round of negotiations with the social democrats, that the Partnership for Romania will be between PDL and PSD, in the government, while UDMR would take state secretary positions.

"We are close to completing the Partnership for Romania between (the democrat liberals) and (the social democrats), and there are chances the partnership will be signed tomorrow," Boc said.

He added the Democratic Union of Magyars in Romania will be represented on a state secretary level within the new Executive.
