In Bulgarian town Ruse, hundreds of pupils wish to get into the new Romanian class at the English language high school, but only 28 of them will be accepted, according to school management, quoted by Bulgarian periodical Standart online. This will be the first high school whose graduates, after five years, speak fluent Romanian.
Given the special interest in this subject, the Romanian language is estimated to become part of the curricula in several other Bulgarian high schools as well.
The situation, however, is mutual, said the Bulgarian daily, as Romanians are also eager to learn Bulgarian.
