According to a decision approved recently by the Government, the Justice Ministry was allotted extra RON143.4 million, the High Court of Justice got RON3 million, prosecution offices received an extra RON57.5 million and the High Council of Magistrates was allotted RON1.6 million.
The sums allotted by the Government will be used only to pay magistrates’ salary rights for 2010.
In 2009, the Government decided that salary rights won in court by public sector employees would be paid in tranches during a three-year interval, starting 2010. Thus, 34% of salary rights will be paid off in 2010, 33% in 2011 and the remaining 33% in 2012.
In March this year, the Government decided that salary rights won in court in 2010 would also be paid in tranches in the 2011 and 2013 interval.
