The financial brokerage sector brought RON63.66 billion to 2008’s gross domestic product, or 12.3% of the total GDP.

The total gross value added was at RON449 billion in 2008.

The construction sector and services had the largest contribution in GDP growth, of 2.3 percentage points and 2.6 percentage points, respectively. The industry’s contribution in GDP increase was of only 0.3 percentage points.
