Petrom, part of Austrian oil group OMV, opened the gas stations at kilometer 111, under the Petrom V brand.

Florin Dascalu, a manager with the national highways company CNADNR, has previously said that Petrom would open in July the two gas stations at kilometer 111.

In May, Petrom opened the first two gas stations, one on each lane, on the Bucharest-Cernavoda highway, at kilometer 66, following a EUR2.6 million investment.

Petrom Group operates 828 Petrom and OMV gas stations, out of which 562 in Romania and 266 abroad. Petrom’s first-half net profit was 923 million lei (EUR1=RON4.1953), down 44.5% on year.

The Rompetrol Group equally operates on Bucharest-Cernavoda highway. The group opened two gas stations in August and plans to open other two end-October.
