Coronavirus in Romania: Almost 12.000 cases, of which 3.576 Romanians cured and 675 dead

In Romania, since the beginning of the pandemic, almost 12.000 people have been infected, of which 3.576 have been cured and discharged, and 675 have lost their lives, according to Wednesday's report of the Strategic Communication Group (GCS).

According to GCS, until Wednesday, in Romania, 11.978 cases of people infected with COVID-19 virus (coronavirus) have been confirmed. Of the people confirmed positive, 3.569 were declared cured and discharged.

Since the last information sent by the Strategic Communication Group, another 362 new cases of illness have been registered.

At the moment, 247 patients are hospitalized in intensive care units.

At the same time, so far, 675 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection, hospitalized in Dolj, Bucharest, Iaşi, Suceava, Arad, Bacău, Timiş, Cluj, Neamţ, Hunedoara, Constanţa, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Ialomiţa, Bistriţa-Năsăud, Covasna, Dâmboviţa, Vrancea, Galaţi, Caraş-Severin, Mureş, Giurgiu, Bihor, Argeş, Vaslui, Botoşani, Alba, Sălaj, Braşov, Mehedinţi, Teleorman, Gorj and Prahova, died.

On the Romanian territory, there are 12.042 people in institutionalized quarantine, and another 22.690 people are in isolation at home and are under medical monitoring.

As of Wednesday, at national level, 166.993 tests had been processed, these including the tests reported on April 28, after 13.00.
