Court: Becali Still Not Allowed To Leave Romania

The decision, however, is not final and it can be appealed. 

 

According to provisional returns, Becali, owner of Steaua Bucharest football club, won a seat in the European Parliament in Sunday’s elections.

 

In April, Becali was charged with kidnapping after he and his bodyguards decided to take justice in their own hands and sequestered three men who allegedly stole his car.

 

Becali was arrested and later released under judicial control on a pledge not to leave the country.
