SW, NE Romania Under Weather Advisory For Snow, Rain, Blizzards

Romanian weather authorities issued a code-yellow alert forecasting snowfall, rain and blizzards in 17 counties in the southwest and northeastern parts of the country, valid from Friday night to Saturday evening.

Precipitation is expected to exceed 25 liters per square meter and even 35 liters per square meter in certain areas. Snowfall is expected in the southwest, northeast and mountain areas.

Weather authorities added roads will be icy and gusty wind and blizzards will reduce visibility, especially in mountain areas.

The south and southeastern part of the country, including capital Bucharest, will see rainfall of 15 liters per square meter and gusts of wind.
