EC To Present MCV Report And EU Fund Management Report For Romania, Bulgaria – Spokesman

Gray said the European Parliament asked the Commission to prepare a special report on the management and control of the use of EU funds in Romania and Bulgaria and progress in the fight against corruption covering the period until July 15, 2009.

"I can confirm the Commission will present both an annual report on the Mechanism for Cooperation and Verification and also, responding to the Parliament’s request, a separate report on the management of EU funds,” Gray said.

Asked when these reports would be presented, Gray said “when they are ready”, adding the Commission does not have a time frame at this point.
