Bitdefender Delays Listing Plans After 2012

Shareholders of IT security solutions provider Bitdefender are still considering listing on the bourse, probably after 2012, when the company will have “consistent value”, Tuesday said Florin Talpes, president of the Softwin group of companies.

„As previously announced, 2012 was proposed as deadline for the listing of Bitdefender, but the process will not unfold next year. We want to enter the bourse when the company has consistent value. We will float stock in Bucharest as well as on an international bourse,” Talpes told reporters.

Along with other shareholders, Talpes controls Bitdefender SRL through Dutch-registered Bitdefender Holding BV. Bitdefender SRL is the former IT security division of Softwin, owned by Talpes and his wife.

According to data from the Finance Ministry, Bitdefender SRL posted a net profit of 10.1 million lei (EUR2.36 million) last year, up 41.3% on the year. Sales rose 16.3% on the year, to RON122.01 million. (EUR1=RON4.2822)
