Without disclosing the LAPAR chief’s name, prosecutors from the Bucharest Sector 1 Court issued a statement confirming that one individual involved in the case was detained for 24 hours on Tuesday and then placed under judicial supervision.

According to the statement, prosecution began against two individuals with leadership roles in the farmers’ association, which is also unnamed.

The Romanian Police raided the LAPAR headquarters on March 28, following a denunciation regarding offences of embezzlement in the organization.
