An exit poll conducted by CSOP, market research and opinion survey leader in Romania, shows that 89.2% of Romanians voted in favor of the referendum to introduce the uninominal voting system.
However, the CSOP survey indicates that fewer than 27% of Romanian citizens went at the voting sections to express their opinion on the matter. A percentage of 10.8% of Romanians voted against the uninominal system.
According to the CSOP exit-poll, the Democratic Party obtained 31.5% at EP elections and 32.7% according to the survey of the CCSB, the Company of Sociologic Research and Branding.
The CSOP survey indicates the following percentages at EP elections: the Social Democratic Party, or PSD, 21.1%, the National Liberal Party, or PNL-15.6%, the Liberal Democratic Party, or PLD-6.9%, the Democratic Union of Hungarians in Romania, or UDMR-6.2%, the New Generation Party, or PNG-4.6%, Laslo Tokes-3.7%, the Greater Romania Party, or PRM-3.4%, the Conservative Party, or PC-2.4%, the National Initiative Party, or PIN-1.6%, the National Christian Democratic Peoples’ Party, or PNTCD-1.5%, the Rroma party Pro Europe-0.9%, the Green Party-0.3% and the Socialist Alliance Party-0.2%.
The survey conducted by CCSB shows the following percentages: PSD -21.40 %, PNL – 14.60 %, PLD – 6.60 %, UDMR – 6.30 %, PC – 4.20%, PNG – 4.20%, PRM – 3.60%, Laszlo Tokes – 3.30%, PIN – 1.40%, PNŢCD – 0.9%, the Rroma party Pro Europe – 0.6%.
