According to weather administration authority ANM, in the northern and central parts of Moldova, including the mountain regions in the northern and central counties of Maramures, Bistrita-Nasaud, Mures and Harghita, precipitations will exceed 25 liters per square meter and even 50 liters per square meter in some areas.

On Monday, meteorologists issued a code yellow alert for rainfall for 13 counties in the northern and northeastern parts of the country, valid until Tuesday morning.

Ten people have died and three have been reported missing in the counties of Botosani and Suceava, northeastern Romania, which have been severely affected by floods.

Hundreds of people have been relocated and dozens of homes have collapsed and hundreds of other homes have been partially damaged.
