The Government on Monday approved six out of 24 amendments submitted by lawmakers to the unitary wage bill for the public sector, for which the Executive plans to seek a confidence vote in Parliament on December 14.

Of the accepted amendments, five are changes to the frame wage law and one is a change to its application law, said the Government.

The bill sets that base wages in the public sector are to increase 15% next year compared to October 2010 and the minimum wage will increase to 670 lei (EUR1=RON4.2929) from the current RON600.
