Most Romanian banks will be closed on April 28 and May 1 for Easter and Labor Day, except for the units located in shopping centers and hypermarkets, the banks said.

Top Romanian banks, such as Banca Comerciala Romana, Banca Transilvania, Raiffeisen Bank and UniCredit will close their offices on Monday, April 28 and Thursday, May 1.

Romania’s second largest bank by assets Banca Romana pentru Dezvoltare-Groupe Societe Generale said its offices will be closed on Monday and it will decide next week on the May 1 working hours.

The Romanian state-owned Casa de Economii si Consemnatiuni, which has the largest bank network in the country, will close office on April 26, April 28 and May 1.

The banks’ units located in shopping centers and hypermarkets will follow the same working hours as shops.

Romania’s central bank decided April 28 and May 1 are days off in the banking sector.
