EC: Report On Romania’s Justice Progress To Be Adopted Wednesday
According to Gray, the report will be a technical one and will include no political evaluation.
The political situation in Romania will have no impact on the report’s adoption, he added.
The European Commission has been monitoring Bulgaria and Romania’s progress in the justice sector since their EU accession in 2007. The Commission publishes two CVM reports yearly: an interim technical report in February and a final report in July, which also includes a political evaluation.
Romania’s Government stepped down Monday and a new Cabinet is expected to seek a confidence vote in Parliament Thursday.
