Bucharest Stock Exchange’s BET Index Places 2nd In The EU, After 16.1% Rise In Jan-April 2017
„The main index of the Romanian capital market, BET, which tracks the twelve most liquid companies, neared 8,300 points in April. With 8,296.75 points reached at the end of the trading session of April 24, the BET index reached, at that time, the highest value of the first four years of 2017,” the report also shows.
As regards the 12 companies included in BET, the biggest increases were registered by Conpet (COTE.RO), with a share price increase of 61.8% and by Nuclearelectrica (SNN.RO), whose shares surged 39%.
According to BVB, the daily average trading value was 17% higher than the level registered in January-April 2016. The five most traded companies on the main market, in terms of value, n the first four months of 2017, were Banca Transilvania (RON534.5 million), Fondul Proprietatea (RON382.3 million), Romgaz (RON260.5 million), OMV Petrom (RON234.1 million) and BRD –Groupe Societé Generale (RON231.2 million).
