The airport will install Common Use Terminal Equipment (CUTE) to support 16 check-in counters and 21 boarding gates.

The baggage reconciliation service will ensure all baggage is boarded at the same time as the passengers. The service is linked to the integrated security control system to prevent unauthorized loading of baggage.

“The system will increase security level by monitoring baggage circuit in the airport, from check-in counters and until they are loaded to the aircraft,” airport’s general manager Gabriel Tara said.

The Bucharest-based airport will also purchase six Common Use Self Service (CUSS) kiosks offering check-in facilities to passengers without the need for ground staff.

Interested providers can submit offers by September 29.
