The law says candidates should organize campaign-related activities during this period, and they will all benefit, without discrimination, from proper locations to meet voters.
During this period, candidates, political parties, political alliances, electoral alliances as well as citizens have the right to freely express their opinion through rallies, assemblies, media use as well as any other means of information.
According to the decision of the Central Electoral Bureau, during the electoral campaign, candidates and parties can use as propaganda tools things such as posters, postal cards, lighters, matches, calendars, mugs, pens, caps, shirts but not “objects with a significant economic value”, nor food.
Mayors have to set the places in which candidates can stick their posters before the start of the campaign.
Both television and radio stations have to ensure that each candidate, no matter their political orientation, receives the same amount of air time as the rest. Information on elections and electoral campaigns can be broadcasted only during informative broadcasts and electoral debates.
