Romania Needs To Correlate Sector Strategies – Econ Min

Romania's energy strategy needs to be correlated with the industrial and the chemical ones, otherwise the economic growth is out of the question, Economy Ministry official Tudor Serban said Thursday.

„We cannot speak of economic growth if imports outweigh exports or if there is no correlation between the industrial sectors. The energy strategy needs to be adapted with the industrial one and with the chemical one,” Serban told the MEDIAFAX Talks about Energy conference.

He added that noone seems to know what is the plan to develop the chemical industry, except the fact that producers ask for cheaper gas.

Serban concluded that the state doesn’t interfere in the heavy industry strategies.
