Romanian President’s Visit To France Targets Stronger Romanian-French Partnership
The head of state also said the ministers accompanying him to France, namely, tourism minister Elena Udrea, foreign minister Cristian Diaconescu, economy minister Adriean Videanu and transport minister Radu Berceanu, will also have separate programs targeting issues in their field of activity.
Basescu also said there would be no press statements during his stay in France.
Basescu started Monday, May 18, his official visit to France which includes meetings with French President Nicholas Sarkozy, Prime Minister François Fillon and other high officials.
Basescu will also meet with the members of the Romanian community in France, as well as with Bernard Accoyer, President of the National Assembly of France, and with Angel Gurria, Secretary General of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
Moreover, Basescu will visit the nuclear power plant in Flamanville and attend a business forum organized by the French business association MEDEF.
