Energy Expert: Fuel Price Hike Could Jeopardize Romania’s Economic Growth

“The price of resources will clearly increase in situations which create instability. (…) Romania will not feel the price increase immediately, but companies have always taken advantage of such price increases to hike the gasoline and diesel fuel price. The situation should be controlled by Romania’s energy watchdog ANRE and the government, via various control mechanisms”, Purica told MEDIAFAX.

Oil price jumped 2%, while gold and the Japanese yen climbed early Friday in Asia, after the U.S. launched a missile strike on a Syrian government target following the recent chemical weapons attack in Syria.
