The boxer was Saturday morning, around 06:00 local time, at a fast-food store in Romanian city Craiova.
At one point, a young man pulled his car over near the store and, without taking into consideration the other customers who were waiting in line, went to the desk and requested some products.
The incident bothered Sorin Tanasie, aka “the Panther,” European boxing champion, who scolded him, asking him to get to the back of the line. The young man refused to do so, triggering Tanasie’s rage. The boxer then went out and damaged the young man’s car, a BMW.
"The 20 year-old man called, through the 112 emergency, the 5th Police Precinct. Arriving on the scene, police officers noticed that the car was damaged. It had slashed tires, the windshield broken and the hood scratched,” according to Dolj County Police Inspectorate spokesperson Maria Vasile.
According to the quoted source, Sorin Tanasie is currently under criminal investigation for destruction and illegally carrying a knife.
Sorin Tanasie won, late September, the European bantamweight (53,525 kg) professional boxing title, when he defeated Spain’s Karim Quibir Lopez, in a gala held in Valencia.
