„The voting process at regular polling stations generally unfolded without incidents, but problems arose at special polling stations where people had to wait in huge lines and a considerably great number of people were not able to cast their ballot as polling stations closed before they could reach ballot boxes,” OSCE mission chief Vadim Zhdanovich said.
Zhdanovich said authorities received numerous notifications regarding incidents such as multiple voting and buying of votes.
Zhdanovich reiterated an observation included in the OSCE interim report where he criticized the amendments brought to the electoral law on very short notice.
Zhdanovich said that, although elections generally unfolded in line with international standards, the problems noticed must be immediately dealt with.
