The European Court of Justice ruled against France Tuesday for failing to transpose into national legislation all the provisions regarding the free circulation of Romanian and Bulgarian citizens, whose countries joined the European Union in 2007, AFP reported.

European Court Of Justice Rules Against France Over Free Movement Of Romanians, Bulgarians

France did not fully transpose the European Directive in the field of freedom of movement of persons to allow Romanians and Bulgarians to exercise liberal professions - doctors, lawyers, architects - on French territory.
 
France was sentenced to pay trial expenses and risks fines from the European Commission unless it transposes the respective directive rapidly.
