Romania’s sanitary and food safety watchdog ANSVSA said Wednesday that this measure applies to drivers transporting horses, donkeys, cattle, sheep, goats, pigs or fowls.

The Local and International Transport Academy is the foundation which organizes two-day courses in the field, while the watchdog issues the certificate of professional competence within ten days based on an application and the certificate of graduation.

The certificate is valid for a five-year period, and, just like a driving license, it can be suspended following law infringements inn the field. When it expires, the certificate can only be obtained based on a thorough re-assessment.
