The reference to Romania was proposed for removal from the annual report through amendment, but European lawmakers rejected the proposition and decided to maintain the initial phrasing: “Romania is urged to rescind its Bilateral Immunity Agreement with the USA on the ICC,” EP said in a statement.

EP’s report also mentions Romania and Cyprus are the only EU member states that have yet to join the Oslo Declaration of February 23, 2007 on cluster munitions.
